An accountability group consists of individuals coming together to help each other stay focused and committed to achieving their personal goals, especially those that require sustained effort.
Each Sunday Strides group member works on their own objectives, whether it's writing a book, developing a business plan, or practicing a new language. Despite having different ambitions, they all meet regularly in the same place on Sunday to co-work, exchange updates, and offer encouragement.
A key practice of this accountability group is body doubling with members working on their own tasks in the same space to boost productivity. Checking in with the group on a consistent basis fosters a sense of responsibility and camaraderie, making it easier to build good habits and steadily work towards milestones.
The structure of each two-hour Sunday Strides session is detailed below:
Happy Hour
18:00 - 19:00
18:00 - 18:15
Members arrive, introduce themselves to any new attendees, and order food or drinks.
18:15 - 18:45
Members catch up, socialize, and get to know each other better.
18:45 - 19:00
Each member briefly shares a progress update and outlines what they plan to work on during the session.
Power Hour
19:00 - 20:00
19:00 - 19:45
Members work independently on their personal goals alongside each other.
19:45 - 20:00
Members recap what they’ve accomplished, discuss any challenges, and share words of encouragement before saying goodbye.
